OBJECTIVE
International Business has been an area of exponential growth throughout the 20th and 21st century. As companies have transcended all types of barriers including language, culture, political turmoil, etc., they have been able to permeate almost every desired industry, every desired country, every desired continent... except Africa. At the dawn of the 21st century, Africa has finally started to enter onto the global stage, making it the perfect opportunity for international businesses to launch a strategic permeation of the African market. My proposal is to devise a website equipped with an instructional platform for how to pick a country in Africa for franchising, a market plan for whatever country I decide to choose, pseudo advertisements for my franchises, and finally a heat map for the locations I would approve for my franchises. I will devise all of this for my mentor, Mrs. Megan Stein’s, franchise: Orangetheory Fitness; specifically geared towards helping the company breakthrough into Africa’s vulnerable new playing field.
